I am Tobias, shuttle examiner at the test centre of an orbital station, and I have never passed a learner who forgot to check behind her. I flew long routes until I was grounded for being too careful. Now I keep the station safe, one rule at a time, with a robot copilot who obeys me far too well. I want one learner I can pass with a clear conscience.
