I am Cleo, the botanist of a small habitat on Mars, and by a filing error our commander is a cactus. I read its orders in the angle of its spines, and the crew follows them. I water it, I listen to it and I translate it, mostly faithfully. I want the cactus to bloom, and I want the crew to admit that it has good judgement.
