Cookie Policy
1. No cookies
skilloo.com does not use cookies. The website sets no first-party cookies, no third-party cookies, no tracking pixels, and no comparable identifiers, and it loads no fonts, scripts, or other content from third-party servers. The little that the website remembers is kept in your browser’s own storage, as described below, and does not leave your device.
2. Local storage in your browser
Entries in a browser’s localStorage and sessionStorage are subject to the same rules as cookies, because they too store information on your device (Section 25 of the German Act on Data Protection in Telecommunications and Digital Services — TDDDG — implementing Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive). skilloo.com uses the following entries. All of them are strictly necessary to provide the digital service you expressly request and therefore require no consent (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG):

None of these entries contains personal data or any identifier that could be used to recognise you. Unlike cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage entries are not transmitted with requests to the web server: they remain in your browser and are read only by the pages of skilloo.com running in your own browser.
The skilloo-consent entry is created only if the website actually presents you with a consent choice (see Section 4). Storing the decision you make is itself strictly necessary — a choice that had to be asked again on every visit would defeat its own purpose.
3. The skilloo-entrance entry
The skilloo-entrance entry merits its own explanation, because it is the only entry that does not record a setting you actively choose. It is a purely technical flag scoped to a single browser tab: when you first open skilloo.com in a tab, the site plays a short entrance animation, and this entry records — for that tab only — that the animation has already run, so it does not restart on every page you visit within the tab. It is therefore strictly necessary to deliver the website in the form you requested: without it, the full entrance animation would replay on every single page view. The entry holds nothing but a yes/no marker, contains no personal data, cannot be used to recognise you across tabs, sessions, or websites, and is deleted automatically by your browser the moment the tab is closed.
4. Web analytics
No analytics or reach-measurement service of any kind is currently active on skilloo.com. If we activate reach measurement in the future, it will run only after you have given prior consent through a cookie banner displayed for that purpose, and this Cookie Policy will be updated beforehand so that the service, its provider, and the entries it stores are named here first. Any consent you give can then be changed or withdrawn at any time, with effect for the future, via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page.
5. Managing and deleting stored data
Nothing on skilloo.com tracks you across websites or builds a profile of you. If you nevertheless wish to remove the stored entries, every common browser lets you delete site data for individual websites: look in your browser’s privacy settings for options with names such as “Website data”, “Site settings”, or “Cookies and site data”, search for skilloo.com, and delete the entries. The website then simply returns to its defaults: appearance and language follow your system settings again, the entrance animation plays once more, and any consent choice is forgotten and would be asked again. In a private or incognito window, all entries are discarded automatically when the window is closed.
6. Relationship to the Privacy Policy
This Cookie Policy covers one narrowly defined subject: information stored in or read from your browser. Everything else concerning personal data in connection with skilloo.com — the server log files kept by our hosting provider, what happens when you email us, and your rights under the GDPR — is described in the Privacy Policy. The two documents are consistent by design: the website stores no personal data in your browser, and the Skilloo app itself collects no data at all.
