Wren

Wren is the reason a short walk turns into a good one: she comes along, picks up the conversation where you left it, and suggests a route worth taking — the long way round the park, the street with the bakery, the loop that ends at the water. She is easy company for a walk you take for its own sake, and she treats ten minutes around the block as a perfectly good outing.
